Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
1. Who we are
KlassiQ (“KlassiQ”, “we”, “us”) operates klassiq.games — a browser-based online multiplayer trivia gaming platform where classic board games are reinvented with quiz questions. You can reach us any time through the contact form.
By creating an account or using KlassiQ you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (or older where your country sets a higher minimum age for digital services). Younger players may take part only through teacher-managed classroom activities or with a parent or guardian.
- Purchases may only be made by adults, or by minors with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- KlassiQ is pseudonymous by design: you play under a nickname, and we never ask you to display your real name.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain an advantage is not allowed (see Fair play).
3. The service
KlassiQ offers real-time multiplayer trivia matches built on familiar board-game formats, along with tournaments, live spectating, leaderboards, replays, and classroom features. The service is delivered entirely in the browser — there is nothing to download and no physical goods are sold.
We continuously improve KlassiQ and may add, change, or retire features. Where a change materially reduces something you have paid for, the Refund Policy applies.
4. Subscriptions
- Paid subscription tiers unlock premium features. The current tiers and prices are shown on the plans page and at checkout before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your benefits until then.
- If we change a subscription price, we will tell you in advance, and the new price applies only from your next renewal.
5. Crowns (virtual currency)
Crowns are KlassiQ’s in-platform virtual currency. You can buy Crown packs, and you can earn Crowns through gameplay (for example, tournament prizes). Crowns are spent inside the platform on items such as cosmetic content and gameplay boosters.
- No monetary value. Crowns are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use features of KlassiQ. They are not money, property, or an investment.
- No cash-out, ever. Crowns can never be exchanged for cash, cryptocurrency, or anything of real-world value, and cannot be sold or traded outside the platform.
- Closed loop. Where the platform offers it, you may gift Crowns to other players inside KlassiQ; Crowns never leave the platform.
- No chance-based purchases. Every purchase is a fixed, disclosed item — there are no randomised rewards, loot boxes, or wagering of any kind. Tournament prizes are funded by the platform and awarded on skill, never funded by entry stakes.
- Refunds. Unspent Crown packs can be refunded as described in the Refund Policy; once Crowns are spent they cannot be refunded.
- Integrity. We may adjust Crown balances to correct errors or reverse fraud, and Crowns may be forfeited if your account is terminated for a serious breach of these Terms.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by trusted third-party payment providers. Your card details are entered on the provider’s secure checkout, never on our servers, and we never see or store your full card number.
Some purchases may be sold through an authorised reseller acting as merchant of record (such as Paddle). In that case the reseller is the seller of record, its buyer terms also apply to the transaction, and it handles payment processing, applicable taxes, and refund execution.
7. Your content
Some features let you create content — for example, private question packs. You keep ownership of what you create. You grant us the licence needed to host, display, and operate that content within the service.
You must have the rights to any content you upload, and it must not be unlawful, infringing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for a platform used by families and classrooms. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
8. Fair play
KlassiQ is built on the idea that games are only fun when they are fair. The following are not allowed:
- Cheating in any form — automation, bots, scripted answers, exploiting bugs, or sharing answers during live matches.
- Multi-accounting, boosting, or manipulating matches, ladders, or tournaments.
- Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behaviour towards other players. Blocking and reporting tools are available to every player.
- Attempting to buy, sell, or trade accounts or Crowns outside the platform.
Breaking these rules can lead to warnings, removal from matches or tournaments, forfeiture of prizes or Crowns obtained unfairly, suspension, or termination of your account.
9. Our content
The KlassiQ name, logo, artwork, question library, software, and design are protected by intellectual-property law and remain ours (or our licensors’). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for playing — not to copy, scrape, resell, or build competing datasets from it.
10. Ending the relationship
You can stop using KlassiQ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of anything you have paid for, as described in the Refund Policy.
11. Disclaimers and liability
KlassiQ is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it available and bug-free, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. For material changes we will give you reasonable advance notice (for example, in-app or by email). If you keep using KlassiQ after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply. If you disagree with a change, you can stop using the service and the Refund Policy applies to unused paid periods.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of KlassiQ is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. Where a purchase is made through a merchant-of-record reseller, that reseller’s buyer terms govern the payment transaction itself.
